CANCEL THE REMAINING AIRDROPS FOR FREELOADERS (WHO DOES NOT HAVE ANY STAKE IN SIFCHAIN) AND USE THAT FUNDS INSTEAD FOR OTHER ACTIVITIES

as concerned community members of this community, i and others have decided to create the idea of cancelling the remaining airdrops which were supposed to be delivered to users. one time airdrop was okay but doing any further airdrops will probably create negative price pressure to already market with weak liquidity, instead please consider using those funds for other engaging community activities like stakedrop where users get rewarded for using staking services or other future competitions. continuing this airdrop will be unfair for the users who are ACTUAL supporters of this project & were ineligible for the airdrops so they actually bought coins from the market as our coins will get diluted once the new range of airdrops will enter the market.

what do you mean by changing the rule during the game? This aint no game, and the airdrop was supposedly to be honored, and is part of the rule. Proposing to cancel the airdrop is "changing the rule of your so called game". And you didnt even have the effort of following up on discord and telegram and expect answers to be answered over here. So much for a sifchain supporters.

first they say we will not be supporting airdrop and divide the community now they say " well we will continue airdrop " & divide community even further without commenting the reason here. God..what a series of u turn events this shit is better than a Netflix series. Just not fair without understanding reason. Me is not gonna lose my money further when they airdrop. Thanks for disappointing D

Do you think it's good to change the rules during the game? Tomorrow you will tell me that now it will be possible to unlock tokens in 180 days? Do you think this will have a good impact on the project?

Imagine if we have reputable seed investors like 3 Arrow Capital or Defiance as investors. What would they think of a protocol team that back out on their promise? Do you think they care that much on air droppers dumping and causes some price fluctuation or the team's long term credibility and ability to deliver promises? This is so myopic in my humble opinion and detrimental to the project's long term growth. The fact that we are discussing this issues over discord and telegram is a sign of us moving backwards. We should focus on the protocol itself and the promises to investors.

Cancelling the remaining is detrimental to the Sif team's reputation and credibility. No protocol has done that before and backing out from their initial promise. Implementing new rules to benefit the community is fine. Cancelling and backing out, for whatever reason, could be for personal self-interest too, is doom for the project.

    Forwarded from Matt

ICP just got listed on many exchanges. ICP allowed the community to partake in an airdrop. The airdrop has been vested over 12 months period with monthly release of 1/12. The Sifchain team also came out with an airdrop with which vested over 4 months period with monthly release of 1/4.

The team must stick to whatever has been agreed with the community members without any twisting else it results into a bad reputation.

I would suggest the devs consider changing the vesting period and continue to distribute the airdrop to whoever qualifies to bring peace to the issue of the airdrop.

Team can lock the airdrop till mainnet launch to grow the price.

The team should never consider cancelling the airdrop else it will bring a whole lot of brouhaha.

Afterall, whoever qualifies performed some tasks which brought traction to the Sifchain community.

@jazzy @karan.patel I think airdrops should proceed as planned, but with stipulated and clearer rules to encourage community building for subsequent airdrop 3/4. Before the sif teams make any decisions, I just hope that they do consider the below factors/questions:

Question 1: With the sif competition going on, it is unfair to expect ppl to stake their rowans and participant in the sif comp (We want to encourage user interacting with sif dex right? Like Gravity Dex). Although ppl who received the airdrops have the options for liquidity mining like karan patel mentioned, we are expecting supporters to withdraw from their liquidity mining, probably with impermeant loss, and join the competition. IL need arbitrage to neutralize and it takes time. Hence putting a time frame base on airdrop 1 is unfair to legit supporters. Moreover, there are legit supporters who don’t even have a clue they receive airdrop. Penalizing them without them knowing is the worst mistake we can ever make. There are also supporters, for whatever reasons, have no access to internet or wallet. Do we penalizing them for NOT staking their airdrop rowans immediately?

I myself am one of the supporters who did not stake immediately upon receiving the airdrops. I did not sell either as I intend to stake them before the 18th May deadline, since this is the option given by the sif team. Fortunately, I get to participate in the sif comp with my friends and we learnt a great ton on the interface. It also deepens my understand and supports on the sif dex and I hence we staked our rowan immediately after the sif comp. By imposing a timeline/deadline for staking airdrops 1, do you think its fair to legit supporters like us?

I feel that rules must be communicated to supporters prior to any changes. It is damaging to the sif team’s reputation, which is very important in the crypto space I feel. We have the hacking on Alpha and supporters continued to support the protocol. Same for Paid network. This is because supporters believe in the team and trust them to deliver on what they promise. If we go back on our words and cancel airdrop 2/3/4, we are as good as dead for this project. Imposing new rules is fine, but these rules should be made clear to the community, and they can make the decision themselves.

Another point to note is, we are expecting main net to be launch this year. Team tokens will then be released. If we stacked the lockup time frame of air droppers to after the main net, wouldn’t we be conveying messages that the team tokens will be dumping before the air droppers?

+100 with diz idea. Current tokenomics is horribel dear team pliz focus on adding value instead of doing 3 airdrops and diluting it .

Kitty,It was only one example of WHALE holding and selling 40K ROWANS who got caught red handed on discord. While I agree not everyone is going to dump coins but 3 MORE airdrops is just insane. You guys got one airdrop, be grateful for that and move on. Aside this, NO. BTC was NOT responsible for the dump on that day. Most of the altcoins were in green a day after so stop blaming BTC for market movement. We were monitoring the market movement immediately after airdrop was delivered after some time rowan started to tank which means people were probably capitalising. Like we said, ONE TIME AIRDROP WAS OKAY. better capital management is needed now and should instead be used in extending rewards program. We are NOT taking away anyone's coins. We are suggesting it to be put for better use. It won't only benefit us, it will benefit every true believer of Sifchain and this idea will force people to use our Sifchain DeX. users will get incentivised for doing which is need of an hour !

Guest below me is wrong. It is impossible to move ROWAN's price significatly with such a small amount (40k coins), the main reason for the dump was BTC (and whole crypto market dump and ROWAN downtrend). Don't believe me? Look at the charts!

And answer yourself the question? Who is more greedy? Who sold 1/4 of the airdrop once or who wants to take away someone else's coins for their own favor and after that to sell the full amount plus rewards?

Adding to above main idea, we also noticed a user on discord who's appears to have gotten a whale allocation of 40k + ROWAN during the first airdrop liquidated on the market which probably contributed to serious downward price pressure after the first airdrop was distributed. We literally went from 80-90 something cents to 40-50 cents within hours if not minutes. This exactly kind of behaviour is what we want to avoid from happening again as there's no guarantee of it NOT happening again. Imagine people like him getting 3 another airdrops and dumping them for quick bucks, it would be just detrimental to us and our project. So Dear TEAM, in the best interest of our project and your actual supporters, we request you to consider our proposal and act accordingly.

Hello dear Sifchain team and community! I want some of your attention regarding future drops.

Please consider the following ideas: In my opinion, the team still should give the 2nd part of airdrop to all who got the 1st part.

    1. Anyway they participated in Sifchain economical activity by trading $ROWAN and paying high unpeg fees.

    2. Some of them didn't sell everything, they sold a part and staked other part and maybe just hold without staking to distribute the risks.

    3. Many of users (I mean Atom and Rune holders) have put their personal reputation and safety on the line by posting advertisements of Sifchain at their Twitters and linking their anonymous wallets with Twitter account. It is a high demonstration of trust in the project!

    4. Those who want to sell, they will sell. You need to weigh what is best and worst. A) Four small sell-offs after each drop OR B) One huge sell-off after the last drop plus rewards. Option B will have much more price impact, as I see it. Note that price successfully recovered after the first drop.

    5. Of course, we have to keep in mind a possible blow to credibility if the drop is cancelled.

So my proposal is to leave the list of addresses intact for the 2nd drop. And declare clear terms and conditions for the 3rd and 4th drops. By the way I didn't sell my drop. That is not the reason for me to advocate the sellers. Thank you!

    Hello!
I personally think that this is a bad idea. The majority of tokens were staked and the price didn't happen. I speak about price because as I saw in chats, people were sad about the price of the token and thought it is because of airdropped tokens. But sifchain goes with the whole market, up and down. If you are really concerned about the price, pressure on price will be much higher when staking will be over together with 4/4 of airdrop parts. It can be a huge dump if everyone will sell. So, if you think about the price pressure, you are totally wrong and don't understand how the airdrops work.

There is no reason to create new rules and to make people not eligible to get their parts of drop. People met KYC requirements, made some social network activities. So, if you really want to change the rules, make them work for the next parts of airdrop, this will make a bigger community of people who are involved in how the project works. It will make them focused on the project and spread the positive information about it among other crypto communities. All airdrops always get partly sold and partly "hodl"-ed. It should be absolutely fine for the project's team, if they planned this airdrop.

Finally, looking through a lot of messages in some sifchain chats, I don't see at least 1 reason to cancel it because of results of 1/4 drop. If you want new rules, make them work for the current time.

Maybe a somewhat fair option would be to make it mandatory to delegate further airdrops in order to receive the remaining airdrops.
Something like: Only wallets who delegated 95% of their 2nd airdrop will be eligible for the 3rd airdrop.
Only wallets who delegated 95% of their 2nd + 3rd airdrop will be eligible for the 4th airdrop.

I get that freeloaders are annoying and only stakers should get the airdrop imo, but still we need more tokens out there anyways, we got 1B supply which has to enter the market someday, best to do it at cheap prices like now. I would agree to cut off the non stakers, but not at the cost of more delays, i'd like to get it all in one go and be done with it! focus on the chain now, price is still irrelevant anyway with only 10% of the tokens circulating!
